Hydraulic Elevator Maintenance Course<BR>2 Contact Hours (0.2 CEU)

This is a self-study course with a timed online test.

This course is based on Chapter 4, “Hydraulic Elevators”, of the Elevator Maintenance Manual by Zack McCain (not included). The Hydraulic Elevator Maintenance Course counts as 2.0 contact hours (0.2 CEU) towards recertification.

Approved for: NAEC CET® Program, State of Pennsylvania for UCC recertification.

Learning Objectives – By studying the required materials to take the exam the reader will have had the opportunity to learn the safe and proper methods for performing service, cleaning and light repair on hydraulic elevators.

Curriculum - The following are some areas of maintenance covered:

  • Machine Room Service
  • Service in the Hoistway and Car Top
  • Pit and Bottom Car Maintenance
  • Inside Car service

    Testing Procedures:

    Once the applicant has paid for the exam they will have six weeks to take the exam. The exam databank consists of 34 questions which are all multiple choice. 30 questions will be chosen at random and the candidate will be allowed 40 minutes to take the test. For the $30.00 fee the applicant will be allowed one (1) retake 30 days after the first test was taken.

    2. Study Chapter 4, “Hydraulic Elevators”, of the Elevator Maintenance Manual.
    3. Register and pay online with a credit card.
    4. You will receive an email or fax confirmation on your registration with instructions for the exam.
    5. Use the provided online link, ID, and Password to login to the Online Testing Center.
    6. If you scored 80% or above, you will receive your 2.0 contact hours certificate of credit via email.
